I.D.P. Foundation incorporated with TMC to Lead Executive Delegation to Singapore for a Mediation Study Tour, Anchoring Attendance at the World-Class “Singapore Convention Week 2026.”
SINGAPORE — On August 24, 2026, the Peace and Peaceful Means Conflict Management Research and Development Institute Foundation (I.D.P. Foundation), in collaboration with Thai Mediation Centre Co., Ltd. (TMC), led a delegation of participants from the 2nd batch of the financial dispute mediation training program, titled “Mediation of Financial Dispute: Skill Enhancement for Professional Resolution,” on a study tour of the Republic of Singapore’s dispute resolution system. The delegation also attended the internationally renowned conference, Singapore Convention Week 2026.
The study trip was led by MRS. Prakairatana Thontiravong, President, Institute for Education and Development of Conflict Management by Peaceful Means Foundation (I.D.P.) Mr. Paisarn Khongphasarnkaln, Vice- Chairman, Thai Mediation Centre Co, Ltd.; Dr. Thanarak Utakapan, Director of the I.D.P. Foundation; and Ms. Rataya Kobsirikarn, Director, Thai Mediation Centre Co, Ltd.. The delegation also included senior executives from leading organizations, led by Mrs. Thongurai Limpiti, Chairperson of the Board of Directors, and Dr. Rak Vorrakitpokatorn, Chief Executive Officer of Bangkok Commercial Asset Management Public Company Limited (BAM).
A key objective of this study trip was to gain in-depth insights into Singapore’s internationally recognized dispute resolution framework. The delegation visited the Financial Industry Disputes Resolution Centre (FIDReC), an independent, non-profit organization appointed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). FIDReC serves as an effective mediator resolving disputes between consumers and financial institutions. Additionally, the delegation attended Singapore Convention Week 2026 to update their knowledge on new tools and mechanisms in global commercial and financial dispute mediation.
The successful implementation of this second-batch program reflects a shared commitment between public and private sectors to enhance professional conflict-resolution skills among Thai financial personnel and mediators. The direct insights gained from Singapore will be applied to elevate the financial dispute resolution processes and the asset management system in Thailand, ensuring they become more efficient, transparent, and aligned with international standards.
